Wednesday hits

According to Andy Strickland, David Perron has been dropped from the 2nd Powerplay unit – but he will still see some PP time. I guess this is punishment for staying out on the ice too long in the LA game when he was instructed to come off.

Strickland is also reporting that Patrik Berglund will be back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Coyotes – which means Cam Janssen will sit out. Let’s see if Berglund has taken on board the message that he has to WORK when he’s out on the ice. Strickland also reports that Alex Pietrangelo will sit out the Coyotes game, which probably means Tyson Strachan will get the start. The Coyotes have been one of the surprise packages so far this season and, with the Blues having lost two straight games, Andy Murray seems to be going for experience in playing Strachan. The Blues need a win – too many players are misfiring at the moment so it makes sense to bring in the experienced player to help steady the ship.
