Blues Captain, Eric Brewer, is getting closer to being able to play
Following Tuesday night’s debacle, the Blues players held a “behind closed doors” players only meeting at the airport. The coaches can coach…but the players are the ones on the ice performing. Let’s hope they found some answers. Today’s snippets are:
- Eric Brewer is getting closer – the Blues may have their captain back sooner than expected. Brewer has been regularly practising with the team.
- Barret Jackman is unlikely to be available for the weekend’s games. He hasn’t practised and his injury is now being referred to as a “high ankle strain”.
- D J King is now back with the Blues and ready to play. In his recent blog, Andy Strickland states that industry sources say the Blues are shopping King around for a potential trade.
- With back to back games at the weekend, look for Chris Mason to start on Friday and Ty Conklin on Saturday.
