Blues @ Sharks

Very important road game tonight for the Blues – especially after Monday’s 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets. The Blues need to bounce back and start making up some ground in the Central Division. The lineup is:

David Perron-Andy McDonald-Brad Boyes
Paul Kariya-David Backes-T.J. Oshie
Alex Steen-Jay McClement-B.J. Crombeen
Keith Tkachuk-Patrik Berglund-Brad Winchester

Barret Jackman-Roman Polak
Darryl Sydor-Erik Johnson
Carlo Colaiacovo-Mike Weaver

Ty Conklin gets the start in net. Brad Winchester will replace Cam Janssen and good to see that Andy Murray is keeping those top two lines together. With Colaiacovo now healthy, Jonas Junland has been sent back to Peoria. Alex Pietrangelo has accepted an invitation to attend Canada’s national junior team selection camp on 12-16 December. The World Junior Tournament runs from 26 December – 5 January so don’t expect to see Pietrangelo in the Blues lineup for the rest of the year.

It’s going to be one of the toughest games for the Blues so far this year when they take on the Sharks in San Jose. The Blues are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games whereas the Sharks are 6-2-2. Not many teams have figured out how to beat the Sharks this year…let’s hope the Blues manage to do so.
