Blues sign Derek Armstrong

The Blues announced today that veteran center Derek Armstrong has signed a two way contract.

Armstrong has spent the last 6 seasons with the Los Angeles Kings and is a definite depth signing for the Blues. He may well spend most of his time in Peoria but he will undoubtedly push for a place with the Blues. He’ll provide great cover in case of injuries and, as a result of his signing, the Blues don’t have to rush their younger guys into action too quickly.

Another respected veteran to guide the younger players is always a good thing – and word is that Armstrong is a great team player.

Again – very good signing by the Blues.
